Fried
Bake / Fried Dumplings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon shortening
1/4 cup water
frying oil
Method:
1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Add shortening.
3. Add enough water to ingredients to make a soft dough.
4. Knead lightly, with floured hands, if needed. Break
off pieces and roll into smooth balls.
5. Flatten to about 1/2 thick.
6. Fry in hot oil or bake on a hot greased pan.
