Phoulorie
Ingredients:
1 cup split peas powder
1 cup flour
1 clove garlic, crushed
11/2 tsp. salt
2 dashes of black pepper
1 tsp. saffron powder or 1 tsp. curry powder
2 tsps. baking powder
water
oil for deep frying
Method:
1. Mix the split peas powder with all dry ingredients
2. Add enough water to make a thick batter
3. Leave to rest for 1 hour
4. In a medium deep frying pan, add about half pan of
oil and Heat
5. Drop batter, a teaspoon at a time into the hot oil
and cook until light brown.
6. Drain and place on a plate lined with paper towel. |
