Bunji
Garlin (Ian Alvarez)
Despite
the strong Jamaican accents that permeates his recordings,
Bunji Garlin is all Trinidadian; Born Ian Alvarez.
He started singing at the Arima Comprehensive School.
When he completed his studies there, he started chanting
under the name Little Bounty as his style was close to
that of Jamaican dancehall star Bounty Killa.
When
asked about the definition of his name, Bunji Garlin cleverly
responded "Since Bunji is taken from the bungee-rope which
is flexible but unbreakable and often used in death-defying
stunts and Garlin is a gun with powerful shots, I'm the
girls them garlin and when it comes to clash, no matter
what they send at me, I will always bounce back".
