Devon Matthews

Devon Matthews' talents are many, but it’s his love for people that drives him to excel in entertainment amongst other things. One of his main passions is reaching the masses through music. Devon has a charismatic energy that reaches his audience on a very personal level.

Devon was born on the island of Trinidad and Tobago (Arima). He is an only child. Devon started performing on stage at the young age of 12. To date Devon has numerous releases as well as videos to his credit. His latest releases “Jouvert”  “Lovely” (featuring Ziggy Ranking) and “Wine down. The new releases are doing extremely well and his music is playing on airwaves in Trinidad, US and abroad.  Devon’s previous releases are songs such as “High” “Duttee” “Chipping” “Cause it” and “Hold me now. These songs were extremely successful across the world. The videos for several of his songs enjoy extended airplay on Synergy Tempo and other cable tv stations. He is very versatile in his music. He can make you dance and he can make you unwind and reflect.

Devon is not only a performer but he is also fast rising as one of the new breed of radio personalities to watch. His show airs on Red967fm in Trinidad 6 days a week as well as online at www.red967fm.com. Devon is also the leader or as they call in Trinidad the “front man” for the hot DJ outfit Remington Steele. Devon is also a very professional and exciting M.C. for major events throughout Trinidad and beyond.

He is essentially quiet and sometimes shy, yet on air or during a performance he is explosive. As evident by his recent Mic Man of the Year 2006.

In his own words Devon says, “I want people to forget the bad things that happened during the day when they listen to me on air or come and watch a performance. When they hear me, they must smile and relax or just cause it”. He looks forward to spreading happiness to people across the world through his music.
