The 3rd Annual Toyota Yaris 2008 Stylus DJ Awards dropped it like its Hot!

June 3rd, 2008 - Toronto – With the 3rd annual Toyota Yaris 2008 Stylus DJ Awards only coming to an end hours earlier, guests can agree that this event only gets bigger every year.  New SpinFest events took place all weekend from Friday May 31st through to Sunday June 1st, such as the DJ Conference, giving DJ enthusiasts a taste of what was to come for the grand finale on June 2nd.  The actual awards show brought down the house to a sold out crowd, tickets sold out so quickly this year that the over-flow of guests were directed to the Pioneer after-party at 6-Degrees.

The Capitol Event Theater (www.eventtheatres.com) played host to this year’s Stylus DJ Awards, with the after-party immediately following the ceremonies at the nearby 6-Degrees night club

www.sixdegreesclub.com).  Guests were chauffeured in limo buses from the awards to the after party, where Pioneer brought Atlanta’s own headliner, DJ 2nd Nature, to get the party started.  Other DJ star performances included multi-nominated DJ Wristpect, Female DJ Nominee Lissa Monet and Toronto DJ of the Year DJ Ritz. 

The hi-light of the entire evening was when the highly anticipated Toyota Yaris give-away finally took place.  16 key holders, 8 Major City DJ Winners along with 8 City Fans, lined up to see who held the winning key for the prize of a Toyota Yaris to drive home.  The winner of the car was Marie-Ève Legault a female fan from Montreal.  The annual Stylus DJ Awards is gaining momentum all over Canada, attracting an ever evolving DJ movement year after year.
