SVG Soca Monarch Finalists order of appearance announced

Kingstown, St. Vincent & The Grenadines - Thursday July 3rd, 2008 - The official draw for the order of appearance by the 20 finalists at the SVG Soca Monarch competition took place today at the Cable & Wireless SVG head office in Kingstown.

Defending champion 'Fireman Hooper' will attempt to add to his record six Soca Monarch titles on Carnival Saturday (July 5) and will be the final performance of the night (position 20). Other favourites at the competion (which takes place at Victoria Park) include Skinny Fabulous (position 3) and Icon (position 11).

The winner of the competition will also secure a berth at the bMobile International Soca Monarch Finals to be held in Trinidad & Tobago in 2009 along with a $100,000 TTD appearance prize.

The order of appearance for the 2008 SVG Soca Monarch are as follows:
