Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ronique Dellimore is Miss Carival 2008
Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines - Saturday July 5th, 2008 - As promised by the very confident and obvious host island favorite, Ronique Dellimore (Miss St.Vincent and the Grenadines) was crowned 'Miss Carival' at last nights annual pageant hosted at Victoria Park.
The runners-up for the night were Miss Guyana (Melessa Payne) Miss Jamaica (Monique Prescott)and Miss Trinidad and Tobago (Katrina Geetooah). The second-runner up, Monique Prescott was a crowd favorite with her drama piece and also took 'Best Interview'. Miss Trinidad & Tobago received top honours for 'Best Evening Wear', while the 2008 Miss Carival was also awarded 'Best Swimwear'.
Entertainment on the night included local artists (Dani-O and Bomani), plus several mas band presentations from Dragons, Wizards and many others. The evening was hosted by Bajan Comedian/Calypsonian Mac Fingall.
