Breakaway: The Ultimate Childrens Party

Pyramid Entertainment is pleased to announce the first and soon to be premier children's event in Barbados. Pyramid has, for the past four years, been extremely proactive in the development of Barbadian music and of artistic growth of artistes. Based on the company's objectives and monumental strides in the international music industry, the artistes have been inspired to reach out to the community that has afforded them so much, and give back to the smallest members of our society who maybe less fortunate.

On the 19th of July, 2008, masses of children, with parents in tow, are expected to gather at the Plantation for the first Crop Over event of the year which is dedicated solely to Barbados' children.

Held at a time when Barbados' children will be celebrating their new found freedom, a concept was developed to create a Wonderland that encompasses a child's fantasy playground. Events slated for the party include Rock climbing, bungee run, jumping tents, petting zoo, train rides, face painting, and other fascinating activities.

The culmination will be a massive show featuring the season's hottest soca artistes. Several high demand acts are listed to perform. These include Lil Rick "The Hypa Dawg", Peter Ram, "Soca Queen" Alison Hinds, Mr. Dale, Biggie Irie, Statement, William Watts, Buggy and every school child's favorite Nard.

The event starts at 1 pm and runs until 7pm. Tickets, $20, will be on sale throughout the island at varying box offices. The planning committee will donate a portion of the profits to several of the island's children homes.
