Timeka Marshall Collaborates with Peetah Morgan to release heavy hitting video
Fast rising reggae R&B talent Timeka Marshall recently premiered the video for her single "Hush" on Jamaican-based cable station Hype TV. "My goodness, I'm so excited about it," the young songstress said. The song was premiered on the cable station's live broadcast show, Up and Live. "I feel the song is very relatable, and I think its smoothing everyone can make a connection to. If they haven't yet, then certainly at some point in the future, they'll be able to", she continued.
Hush, which is on the Shane Brown produced Indiscretion riddim, is a sweet-sounding escape into R&B - of course with some Caribbean flavour - and is filled with loving lyrics which has the Guyanese-born bombshell pouring her heart out. "The riddim is doing really well, and the song has been getting some love from the radio, and Hype TV certainly made their viewers anxious about the premiere, so it's all good!"
Timeka says one thing she was really impressed with, was the way in which her song, and Secrets, another song by Peter Morgan of Morgan Heritage which is featured on the same riddim, was mixed together so the two artistes could do a joint video. "We didn't even know about each other's song, and it's really uncanny that the two songs are talking about the same thing. Crazy props to Shane Brown and Peter for spotting it and making the joint video happen," Timeka said.
Peter Morgan is equally excited about the release of the new videos. He says "it was a different experience for me. It's the first time I've ever done a video without my brothers and sisters. I really thank Shane Brown for creating a family atmosphere around me to make me comfortable in embarking on this new and fun musical journey as a solo artiste. Timeka Marshall is a great co star to work with, very talented and a hard worker never complaining about anything, Juke Boxx is a great unit to be a part of and the future is bright with us."
Both songs have already entered heavy rotation on several international music charts and the release of the highly anticipated music video looks set to further catapult the career of Timeka as one of the Caribbean's rising stars.
