Barbee bedazzles LA club, Brooklyn Music Festival

Barbee

Soulful songbird Barbee has been jetting all over the US, delivering captivating performances from coast to coast, leaving her audience spellbound.

Barbee and the Dance Expression group took California by storm on June 12, where she left her mark as one of the stars of reggae, alongside Junior Reid, Andrew & Wadda Blood, Shinehead, Lukie D and others. The ‘Love You Anyway’ sexy singer then hit the Brooklyn Music Festival over the Father’s Day weekend, leaving the dads more than satisfied.

‘Dancehall’s Beyonce’, as Barbee is known, was her usual sassy elegance amidst the macho male testosterone on the field, the likes of giants Beenie Man, Capleton, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Natural Black, Serani, Tarrus Riley, Doug E. Fresh and Big Daddy Kane. Lady G and Spice also represented well for the ladies. A major music festival for Jamaican culture infecting Brooklynites, the Brooklyn Music Festival Father’s Day tribute pulled a huge crowd, all of which enjoyed every moment of the dancehall doll along with the Dance Expression.

Without even a moment to rest, the hard working curvaceous diva is set to unleash her magic this Saturday, June 27 at the 20th Annual Susquehanna Community Festival - Susquehanna Day in Philadelphia, with a heart-stealing performance.

Barbee takes her place alongside and is honored and excited to perform with Hall of Famer Jazz/R&B icon Bobby Womack, whose music is both legacy and as current as love, the legendary Cuba Gooding Snr. & the Main Ingredients, songbird Carol Riddick, hip hop legend Biz Markie, rapper Tuffest and Sledge.

Hosted by Jewell Williams, the Susquehanna Community Festival is anticipating a fantastic performance from Barbee with tunes like ‘Love You Anyway’, ‘Can I Stay With You’, ‘Missing You’ and her latest ‘Feels So Good’.

Following the Philly event, on July 19 she will be back in New York at Carol Butterfly. Following that she heads to Canada for two shows on July 25 and 26, the first a Fun Day where the diva will be sharing the stage with Beres Hammond and friends.
