Tickets Now on Sale for the Scotiabank Caribana Gala

Tickets are now available for the second annual Scotiabank Caribana Gala and dance. This high-end event features “Carnival Music and Artistry” and is an evening to honour the works of the pioneers of the Caribana Festival.
The Gala will be held on Friday, July 24th, 2009 at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex on the grounds of the CNE in Toronto. Doors open at 6.30 pm and the sit-down dinner begins at 7.30 pm. There will be a dance following the dinner -- the band Ozzie Gurley will perform. Dress for the party is being called “Creative Formal.”
Last year, the Gala was sold out, long before the event was held. This year, interest in the party continues to grow. Single tickets for the Gala cost $150.00 and are available from the Festival Management Committee’s downtown Toronto offices (263 Davenport Avenue, Lower Level) or on-line at www.caribanafestival.com.
Net proceeds from the Gala go to the Caribana Arts Foundation. The Foundation was formed in 2008 to enhance and develop the quality of knowledge and leadership in the field of Carnival Culture and Arts in Canada.
