Toronto, ON, Canada – Saturday August 1, 2009 - Salah's Steelpan Academay won top honors yet again at the annual Pan Alive Competition held last night at Lamport Stadium. The Montreal based pan side edged out New Dimension Steel Band by just three points to garner a record third consecutive Pan Alive title.
Crowd favorites, Afropan and Pan Fantasy both had to settle for third place finishes, each recording 278 on the scoresheets. Other notable performances on the night included Panatics and Sihouettes.
The results from the 2009 Pan Alive Competition are as follows:
