Grenadian artists nominated at London Soca Music Awards
Grenadian artists Brother B and Freestyle King have been nominated for awards at London’s Soca Music Awards.
Brother B is up for Best International Male and Best track for ‘Little wine’ his 2008 hit smash produced by Doggy a young producer in Grenada.
Brother B entered the Soca arena in 2007 with his hit track ‘Pork’. In 2008 he released his first album ‘More Fire’. Which included tracks ‘Little Wine, Loose, Bad Like we and Wine down’ which features Mr Killa, Grenada’s 2009 Soca Monarch & Road March King. The tracks are produced by legendary producer Jimmi King from King beat studios. Doggy produced ‘Little wine’. More Fire album is available to buy on itunes, amazon and other major online retailers.
Brother B’s 2009 album ‘One Step Ahead’ includes hit tracks ‘Whola, You make me go, Pokena and Move’. This album is currently available in stores in London and Canada and is available on itunes early October 2009. Producers on this album include Jimmi King, Doggy, White Wine and Island Traffic Entertainment.
Freestyle King has been nominated for Best UK male. Freestyle King entered the UK arena in 2008 with his hit track’ Titvay’. In 2009 Freestyle King released ‘All about the carnival, Rum and Soft brown skin’ on the ‘Never let you go’ riddum. Freestyle King born and raised in Grenada moved to London to pursue his dreams.
The Soca Music awards takes place in London on Sunday 27th September 2009, and is hosted by Choice FM’s Martin Jay.
