History 2009 - The Royalty n’ Loyalty Edition

The return of Canada’s incomparable History Dance is set to heat the cold chills and leave a blazing trail for the rest of the winter, as guys and gals get ready for the red carpet affair that takes over Canada the same time every year.
Officially the biggest dancehalll dance in North America, the 8th annual History comes alive on Sunday, October 11, for the Thanksgiving long weekend, at the Platinum Convention Centre, 17 Vinyl Court, corner of Steeles and Islington.
Already the buzz is crazy, off the hook. Yow, History is all the talk all across Canada and Jamaican communities around the world. It’s big, it’s wicked, it’s happening! And everyone’s putting together their top-a-top outfits to shine under the spotlight and star in the History DVD.
Presented by Jaydees Entertainment and Little Copa Family, this year the promoters have taken it to another level of excitement as the one and only actress Vivica Fox will host the event, bringing her class, sex appeal and Hollywood entourage.
Providing musical juggling will be Rebel T with the Mad Ras, Noah Wit Da Power from New York, King Turbo with riddim track master Spex, sound of the future Journey Sound, and Black Reaction with the juggling perfection. Special guest appearance by North America’s youngest selector, Lil G.
Specially invited guests include Dennis Wet Wet, Lady Pinkaz and several dancehall dignitaries from Toronto, USA, Jamaica and England.
Foresight and Big G Video will be in the house to provide video coverage. While Canada’s J Wyze from Flow 93.5 will do live interviews and Jamaica’s XtraNews will provide media coverage.
Security is not a compromise, so patrons can rest assured they can come out and party all night to the sounds of some of the wickedest selectors around.
The promoters are advising patrons to get their tickets early ‘cause every year many get left out in the cold…literally. Limited early bird tickets are now on sale for Can$35 at several outlets. Doors open at 10:00 pm so be there early to secure your spot on the dance floor. Beware: arrive early ‘cause after 2:00 am you’re gonna pay dearly. There will also be lots of giveaways.
Ladies and gents, you’re all invited to dress to break hearts.
