The St. Ann's Heritage Fest 2k9, celebrating good people and great music
ST. ANN'S JAMAICA - October 1, 2009 - In celebrating the birth place of the King of Reggae Music Bob Marley, Prophet Marcus Garvey, King of all deejays Shaba Ranks and Freedom Fighter Burning Spears; Blauque Muzic Company and the people of St. Ann's will be celebrating the official St. Ann's Heritage Festival 2k9. This upbeat festival will be held on Saturday, November 28th 2009 at the Richmond Estates in St. Ann's Bay. Celebrating the rich culture and heritage of the parish of St. Ann's.
The St. Ann's Heritage Festival and The people of St. Ann's will be honoring some Jamaica's most prominent Artist. There will be an award ceremony presenting invaluable contribution to the arts. The titled awards will be "Our Parish Hero, Queen of Queens of the dance hall, Legend of Track and Field, The Love Docor of Reggae Music, The King of all Kings of dance hall and The Conscious General of Reggae awards. The recipients of these awards will be Bob Marley, Lady Saw, Usain Bolt, Beres Hammond, Shaba Ranks and Burning Spear. This musical marathon features artist line up Bunny Wailer, Little Hero, Tony Curtis, Ernie Smith, Merciless, I-Wayne, Turbulence, Macka Diamond, Lutan Fyah, Buru Banton, Ginjah, Mr. Perfect, Jah Mason,Lieutenant Stichie plus many many more. Also being featured are local and community top jockeys and radio stations from Big A, DJ Wayne,G.T. Taylor-of-IRIE FM, Zip Jock Liquid from ZIP 103FM, Kurt Riley from FAME 95FM, Sott Wilson from hits 96 FM and more.
The St. Ann's Heritage Festival will become one of the top local festivals in Jamaica, presenting and variety of Artists and a family friendly environment for all to enjoy. The Heritage Festival targets individuals with an affinity for good, clean entertainment, and will be filled with fun and Activities for adults and children to enjoy. A percentage of the proceeds will also be donated to a charity of choice. This is an event that the entire parish of St. Ann's has been waiting for, so don't miss it.
