Line-up for the Daily News & SAO 4th Annual International
Soca Awards
New York, NY (August 25th, 2006) –
Daily News and Soca Awards Organization, Inc. (SAO) announces
its stellar cast of performers for the 4th Annual International
Soca Awards.
"The line-up for the show this year
is definitely one of a kind, you won't see another like
it on any stage, anywhere this year; you don't want to
miss the 4th Annual International Soca Awards" says
SAO's Marketing Director, Kizzy K. Willis at their official
Sponsors Launch this past Thursday at Café 400.
SAO's management team announced their star-studded line-up
for this year's grand event to all on Thursday evening.
Artists performing on the Apollo stage
are Kevin Lyttle, Alison Hinds, Machel Montano, Bomani,
Claudette Peters, Gail Ann, Keisha Stewart, Lisa Toney,
Ragga, Natasha Wilson & Jason Benn. A variety of islands
will be represented on the Apollo stage during the awards
show as artists from around the world will step on-stage
to receive their awards and say thanks to their supportive
fans. The main stage line-up will not be duplicated and
must not be missed!
The Soca Awards official after-party
will be held at SOB's nightclub located at 200 Varick
Street in Manhattan, NY. The line-up for the after-party
is just as amazing as the awards show. Some performing
acts at the after-party are Daily News CASYM Steel Orchestra,
Claudette Peters & Taxik, Danger, Lorenzo, Lyrikal,
Mr. Gregory Mr. Mention Hobson lead singer of the Nu Vybes
Band, Jamesy P, Rita Jones & Surge; the dj’s
for the evening are DJ Spice, DJ Tony Tempo, Fabulous
One, Lexxus Sound, Rhythm Junction, Soca Syndicate, Soca
Twins and Third Bass.
Last but certainly not least, SAO, in
collaboration with Soca Passion is hosting their official
after-after party on Saturday, September 9th at Albella
Lounge located at 10 Reade Street (between Center Street
& Broadway) in Manhattan, NY. Confirmed performing
artists for that evening are Bomani, Gail Ann, Jamsey
P, Kyncky Cordner, Lisa & Burton Toney, Surge and
Trini Jacobs; special invited guests include Kevin Lyttle,
Ragga, 2NTrigue & Boogie B among others. A host of
dj’s will be in attendance.

Soca Awards is being held on Friday, September 8th, 2006
at the World Famous Apollo Theater, the 1st 100% Soca
show ever to be held at this historic location, a place
where stars were born legends are made.
