to Sponsor SynergyTV’s Soca Star
Brooklyn,
NY —November 15th, 2006— In its second
season SynergyTV’s hit program Soca Star is about
to reach new musical heights, with a little help from
Ma$tamind Productions. Included in the slew of grand prizes
for this season’s winner is a recording contract
with Ma$tamind Productions.
Soca Star features 12 contestants vying
for the opportunity to showcase their love and talent
for music, while taking the viewer through the entire
journey. According to the Synergy website, in addition
to the contract with Ma$tamind, the winner will receive
a 2007 Daihatsu Terios, automatic entry into the International
Soca Monarch competition in February of 2007, and a video
for one of their songs.
“One of the most important things
we do at Ma$tamind is to develop, promote and enhance
musicianship in Caribbean artists- from today’s
artists to the veterans. In working with Synergy on this
competition we will be giving new talent a chance to take
their artistry to a new level,” said Natasha Andrews-
Noel, business manager for Ma$tamind.
The song, once completed will be featured
on both the Soca Star compilation and Da Ma$tamind Project
III albums, both set to be released for Carnival 2008
as a measure to ensure exposure for the winning artist.
Ma$tamind Productions, an award-winning,
full range music production and management company, was
founded in 2005 by Natasha Andrews-Noel and Shawn Noel
in Brooklyn, New York. The company’s production
catalogue consists of the Pot ‘o Gold Riddim, Da
Ma$tamind Project, A Ma$tamind Christmas, and countless
other collaborations with today’s leading Soca artistes.
Through the Many Voices, One Sound initiative, Ma$tamind
seeks to aide in the creation and promotion of the music
of the Caribbean on an international level.
