"It
was important to have a vibrant live feel for this track
to bring out the right energy, so we got the top players
in Trinidad to play on it including live drums which is
not often done in soca, big up to meh boy Kernal Roberts",
says Sacha.
"The
track was started in Toronto around Caribana time and
is now in its final stages in Trinidad where the guitars
and drums were recorded. The recording process was simple
with no major hang-ups except for scheduling. Everyone
who was involved with this project went above and beyond
to make sure the track had the right feel. Kerwin (Du
Bois) really burned the midnight oil to make sure the
production was tight and Saucy came in and did her thing
session after session."
Throughout
2006, Denise stunned audiences worldwide with her mega
hits ('Lewwe
Do Dat' and 'Goodie')
and exclaims 2007 will be an exceptional year. So far
her recent releases have been well received and she is
expecting 'ALIVE' to move the masses.
"2007 is definitely going to be my year, as the lord
continues to bless me. The world needs to look out because
Denise Belfon is coming out with full force, no apology."
Sacha Singh, the writer of the song "Alive"
has been a very influential person in my life and career.
Come 2007 and beyond this song will catapult me into oblivious
stardom. I am definitely thinking of taking both soca
monarch and road march titles again with no apology!"
The highly anticipated release will hit the national airwaves
on Christmas weekend in Trinidad and Tobago and will debut
on the internet at www.Toronto-Lime.com
at the same time.

With her long awaited debut album scheduled
to be released in November 2004, it is without a doubt
that she is poised to take the world by storm.
Indeed, the time has come to show the world what Denise
‘Saucy Wow’ Belfon is all about.
Denise Ann Sinoda Belfon was born on November
23, 1968 in Trinidad and Tobago. As a young girl in school,
she was a football player, and was even offered a scholarship
to Howard University to join the all Girls football team.
However, an injury at the time prevented her from taking
up the opportunity.
Denise’s other love from an early age was the arts.
She has been singing since the age of 9, and has also
been a dancer and a model. When she was not in the spotlight,
Denise taught gymnastics at the Belmont Junior Secondary
school and at the YMCA.
In 1990, Denise was discovered by the
bandleader of Roy Cape. She started singing professionally
with the band Black Sheep, before moving on to Sound Revolution.
Her first solo recording was the soca hit “Ka Ka
Lay Lay”.
Since then, Denise has gone on to become
the most forceful female solo act in the Caribbean, having
recorded a string of hit singles: Hard Wuk”, “De
Jammette”, “Saucy Baby”, and “Indian
Man”, that continue to draw frenzy from audiences
and partygoers across the Caribbean and in the diaspora.
These songs and many others have earned Denise the rank
as one of the Caribbean’s top talents.
